How to give a bouquet of artificial flowers a natural look

Artificial flowers are the perfect way to decorate your home for a long time without ever having to water them or throw them away. But how do you ensure that your bouquet of artificial flowers doesn’t look ‘contrived’, but rather light, playful and natural?

Choose the right vase

Our bouquets are already arranged, so you don’t need to arrange or rearrange individual stems. What you can do, though, is choose the right vase!

An opaque vase is handy if you want to adjust the height of the bouquet slightly. Instead of cutting the stems, you can gently bend them. This way, you retain the full length, which is useful if you want to use the bouquet in a different vase later on. The vase hides the bent stems and shows only the top view of the bouquet: exactly what you want.

Let the light do the work

Natural daylight enhances the subtle colour variations and texture of our silk flowers. You should therefore place your bouquet near a window or in a well-lit corner of the room. The gentle interplay of light and shadow on the petals adds to their realistic appearance

Pair with accessories

Your bouquet of artificial flowers will look its best when you make it part of the overall picture. For example, place it on a dining table alongside some books, a carafe of water or some napkins. Or arrange it on a sideboard with a scented candle or a stack of coffee-table books. This way, the bouquet will look like a natural part of your interior rather than a standalone decorative piece.
